A.E.A Theatre DIRECTING CREDITS

  • Crazy For You - Director - Sharon Playhouse, Sharon, CN
  • Guys and Dolls -  Director - Sharon Playhouse, Sharon CN

Featuring Barry Williams, better known as Greg of The Brady Bunch. Responsibilities included casting, agent negotiations and rehearsal scheduling. Produced as the premiere production at Tri-State Center for the Arts* new home in the Sharon Playhouse, Sharon CN, the show was crucial in terms of fiscal planning and audience expansion. It was the first time Mr. Williams had attempted the role of Sky Masterson and it was a critical and financial success. Non-traditional casting of the gangster BIG JULE (here played by a female actor) without changing one word of the classic script and score gave this production a surprising contemporary twist.

  • Fiddler On The Roof - Director/Chor. - Tri-Arts Theatre, Pine Plains, NY

The most financially successful production in Tri-Arts Theatre's history. It brought Tri-Arts back into the black and re-established Tri-Arts as the Tri-State* area's leading EQUITY L.O.A. theatre. Responsibilities included direction and musical staging for the entire company of 67 actors (an extremely large company),  auditioning/casting of Equity principals in New York City, local talent in upstate New York, and negotiation and supervision of NYC Costume Collection rentals.

  • The Pajama Game - Associate Director/Chor. - Tri-Arts Theatre, Pine Plains, NY

Responsibilities included all musical numbers, choreography, vocal duet staging, scenic shift staging, script structure changes and musical edits. Reinterpreted and expanded numbers such as Steam Heat to advance the plot and include the entire acting company.
